This park once had 150 glaciers, now only 26 remain.
As they melted, large v-shaped valleys were
created and rivers, creeks and lakes were formed.
The most scenic drive is “Going-to-the-Sun”
road is a 35-mile scenic drive and a must-see.
You can travel it via a free shuttle that stops at all the points of
interest.
We drove it ourselves and
really enjoyed the scenery.
It’s pretty
narrow and windy so if you don’t like that kind of drive, use the shuttle.
I
never made it on the road to Hana but I imagine this road is a paved version. Lots
of waterfalls and in the middle you follow St Mary Lake all the way to the
visitor center at the end.
We saw some
mountain goats and crossed the Continental Divide once more.
